Friendly service, recommended an excellent local wine, great food, recommended for your stay in Marrakech. We'd happily eat there again.
I am a pretty picky person when it comes to food and rating restaurants. I look carefully at the quality of service, the cleanliness, the food, the atmosphere, how the dishes are served, i.e in the plates, etc.
Amaia is definitely a nice place to go if you desire a nice full meal. Having stayed in marrakesh for a week...

Had dinner last night at Amaia after reading good reviews and we were not dissapointed. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed. We thought the portions were ample (especially the Farmers salad starter which was huge!) We finished our meal with an amazing cocktail. Our bill for 2 courses with soft drinks and a cocktail each was...

We came here as one of our last restaurants during our stay in Marrakech and we were exceptionally thankful that we did. The food was to an excellent standard, the wine list was well chosen and the service - by the owner no less - was superb. A wonderful, quiet atmosphere which brings some sophistication to the excitable hubbub of...

Following the good reviews for this restaurant, I went there with a couple of friends and we all enjoyed it. The food was pretty straight forward and simple. Everything was fresh with lots of flavours. Being keen on Asian food, we ordered pork & crab spring rolls, seabream tartar and also Prawn and calamari cooked in a Wok ... We...

If you are so sick of Marrakech and or Marroccan food then get a flight home or go for a pizza. Amaia tries to fuse Thai with international cuisine and fails miserably on both counts. The spring rolls were dripping oil, the Wok dishes should have stayed in the wok (permanently) and well... the Phuket Salad read a book about...

Dear Artalus,
You take as a basis the assumption that we can be "so sick of Marrakech and or Moroccan food".
Fortunately, many people come to discover or rediscover this beautiful city and its culture, without evidence of snobbery.
At Amaia, we make no attempt to fuse cuisine.
We "borrow" considered interesting recipes from local people, to be more as...

We visited this restaurant two times during our 6-day stay and were very satisfied. A well balanced menu for every taste. My wife is a vegetarian and the second time we vistied them they mades a special meal for her which was not on the menu. The owner and the staff are very friendly. Excellent!
We were looking for something as a change from tagines, brochettes and salads so checked out trip advisor. The Amaia restaurant looked right so we jumped in a cab. When we got there at 8pm on a Tuesday night we were the only customers but we were soon chatting with the restauraunteur. We started with goats cheese and vegetables in...

After reading the reviews on here we were excited to try out this place. The restaurant was fairly empty but had quite a good vibe and the waiter was very friendly. The starters were very promising and reasonably priced too. For the main course we both chose the beef Tagine. We had been used to having very flavorsome dishes in...
