We arrived at 5:30pm on a Saturday afternoon and waited almost 1.5 hours to be seated. It was ridiculously busy, but absolutely definitely worth the wait. The best xiao long bao I have ever had! You can watch the chefs speedily making the dumplings through the window which passes some time. And the service is fantastic - they place wheeled... More

Very happy when my friend from the states referred me to try the dumplings here. You need to go on off hours or you will have to wait in line for an hour. Extremely busy in both locations in Taipei. Try as many different dumplings as you can. The original is still the best. You must have one bowl of... More

I have eaten at DTF in Sydney and in Shanghai and i was looking forward to eating it again in its origin country. Overall, the food was nothing spectacular but i was disappointed with the dumplings which felt they had come from a freezer and was just a clump of meat wrapped around by the pastry. But to add to... Being from the Bay Area I thought I'd tasted good dumplings, I was mistaken. These were the best I've ever had and the pot stickers were to die for. The open kitchen was fun, watching the white-coated masked dumpling makers. The ladies room was a hike and I actually got lost in the basement of Taipei 101 trying to find... More

This is definitely the best Din Tai Fung outlet I have been to. The crab dumpling is so fresh, the skin thin enough and the content is juicy too. We also like the 粽子 (zongzi), not sure what it's called in English or even there is such word for it. It is a kind of Chinese glutinous rice dumpling wrapped... More

Just had dinner here after remembering the excellent crab powder dumplings I had years ago at their Xinyi branch. The crab dumplings were unimpressive, so we decided to try the newly rolled out truffle dumplings and strip gyozas. Rapture. The truffle dumplings give this restaurant a well deserved Michelin star. The gyozas are great as well. The rest of the... More

Went to try the steamed dumplings here as the branch in Sydney was a great experience for me. Went with friends which allowed us to order several dishes not available in Australia. Food was good and the group enjoyed the experience. Fun experience. Staff very helpful considering we don't speak Taiwanese or Mandarin.

As a local, I bring my foreign friends there if it´s not over crowded. The food there is pretty nice and I especially like the dessert. Worth going in a non-rush hour.

Been to several din tai fungs around Asia and back home in Sydney but gosh what a difference! Food was super cheap, dumplings were so juicy and delicious, I won't even bother going to other places anymore.

This is the first Din Tai Fung, a must visit for those who love Steamed Dumplings. Now in multiple countries and many many stores around China and Asia, this is the place for the famous Steamed Dumpling and Rice Wine Chicken. Although the restaurant is crowded, but you can get a seat if you are patient. They do not take... More
