Went to Wendel's for dinner on Valentine's Day at their newish bistro at Neihu - it was great. The place had 2 levels so seating was not a problem however, when we asked to seat on the 1st level (there were tables at that time) and mentioned we were planning to stay for only about 30 to 45 mins, they... “Octoberfest is a must”

They have a great Octoberfest party with live entertainment and German food. This is a must if you are in Taipei during October.

Restaurant is in Tienmu near Zhishan MRT stop. There was a decent selection of German food that tasted good. Had some German beer as well, though not much selection. It was expensive but not too overpriced. Service was fairly poor like most places in Taipei. Went for Oktoberfest and they had German music and entertainers which made the visit well... More

Wendels and zum fass are the two best German restaurant in town. Wendell serve good German draft beer. Like the previous review pointed out- it has a nice outdoor dining area especially when the sun is out. Food is good but nothing spectacular.
