Friendly staff, nice atmosphere and good food. That said I do not enjoy being cheated when the bill comes. According to People who know happens often late in evening and staff feel embarrassed.

The oldest and once most popular Italian restaurant in Bangkok is not even a shadow of its former self. Depressing lack of customers and very mediocre food and service. Shabby and sad it is best avoided.
There are about 300 Italian Restaurants in Bangkok. The Opera was opened many years ago by Mr Rossano, who now owns Rossano's Restaurant in Bangkok. Whilst I prefer Rossano's, the Opera is a proper, reasonably priced Italian Restaurant.

Service is outstanding and most dishes are very affordable (by European standards). Would definitely recommend this restaurant to people spending a lot of time in Bangkok and looking for something different
Old stand by for good italian food. Small parking area is much appreciated in this busy Suk 39 neighborhood. Quiet and dark interior is great for a nice meal with family, low key business, or quiet romantic night. Good service and excellent staff.
Great italian food in Sukhumvit area. Large selection of good wines. Excellent service.
