Unfortunately not able to partake of complimentary lunch but casual visit again reinforced our choice of special location for special event
There is no better way to enjoy typical Thai cuisine in great comfort than this restaurant. It is across the river from the hotel, but reachable by shuttle boat every few minutes. It is not inexpensive, but delivers value for money. One has the choice of a la carte, or buffet. And there is a choice of outdoor seating right... More
I had high expectations as this is billed as one of the best restaurants in the city, but it doesn't live up to the reputations. The appetizers were excellent, but the rest of the courses were decidedly average. I had expected exceptional food, given the prices and reputation, but it didn't come close. The waiter brought us bottled water, we... More
What a deception! For our last evening we wanted to make a very good Thai restaurant. Great views overlooking the river, but a poor service ! The waiter was too talkative, always skipping, not listening to our requests. I have order sticky rice with my lobster and had steam rice instead, my friend order vegetable with her lobster and the... More
Dear marc a, We always strive to deliver the best levels of service to our guests and I am sorry that on this occasion we failed to do so. This is certainly not the magical experience we want our valued guests to have while dining at Sala Rim Naam. Should you wish to discuss your experience in more detail, I... More
We chose this place as our tour guide recommended the dinner show in Bangkok, where we could enjoy the show while eating. Upon the arrival, I was impressed by the traditional atmosphere. In fact, there was 2 types of seating : traditional type and modern type. Of course we picked the traditional ones. The scale of the show was a... More
It is worth the trip across the River in the Oriental boat to visit the restaurant and sit on the Terrace of an evening and enjoy the view back to the hotel and all the river traffic. And the food is good spicy thai - we do not do the floor show - thai dancing but just enjoy sitting outside... More
Our hotel recommended us for the show and dinner. It's definitely a tourist trap. The show was decent, but for the price we paid for our meal, it's WAY overprice. The portion were small, and food as average. However, the service was pretty good.
We decided to book a table outside for our last night in Bangkok. Upon arrival we were advised that full length trousers were required for men and asked to don a pair of the hotels (allegedly smart shorts can cause offense!). We did this without any fuss however later in the evening a female diner turned up and was seated... More
Our tour guide pitched this dinner show to our group for our last night in Bangkok. The hotel's boat comes to your hotel to pick you up. There's two types of seating ... Traditional on the floor or at a table. Our group chose traditional. Get there early so you are finished eating before the show starts. Dancing starts at... More
Loved the experience of crossing the river to the Sala Rim Nam. Interesting dining room with plenty of variety and the opportunity to try lots of dishes. It is expensive by Thai standards but worth it. Good views of the river and all the passing water traffic.
