The one advantage was the air conditioning as it was extremely hot while we were there. They also had a 2 for 1 pizza offer which made the price better. Service patchy

Had a meal here as a taste testing for an event later in the year - found the food to be average across the board and the steaks to be of unimpressive quality. The decore however was kinda interesting - old world style.

About 3 levels up and while the inside is beautiful, on a warm evening the terrace shines. Daily happy hours a great value and very good cocktails. You can also pick up the free wi fi from the Sofital over the road so a nice place to catch up on emails and FB

Somewhere I felt comfortable - more than a restaurant, retaining a sort of 'club' atmosphere and approach. Set lunch menu was reasonably priced and well prepared. Library is great, and the terrace a good place to chill out in the evenings!

The Press Club used to be the place to be, with a good cafe on the ground floor (now an upmarket boutique), a good restaurant and an outside area that was the mecca for the young and young at heart for weekend dancing and carousing. Now it is somewhat dead and staid. A pity, but everything changes

The Press Club is a modern dining establishment; very clean and tidy in modern western style. Service is efficient and friendly. Food is good in both Vitenamese and European styles. Wine list is sound and provides value. Little evidence of 'press' or the history of the Club. A good spot to break a tourist's day.

this was the best salmon steak, I had on my Asia trip. Everything was very fresh and the restaurant ambiance is a good mix of cosy and elegant. We went there for lunch after our cruise in the Halong bay. Just learned that the boat we were on (Emeraude) belongs to the same group as the Press Club - now... More

We popped over from our hotel to try this place. It was OK. Service a bit slow. The menu was clear and in English. The food was quite acceptable. But all in all it was not an evening to remember.

Dear Diner, Thank you for your review and comments, which we always do appreciate. Not really sure how one spots a journalist but we do host regular meetings at the Press Club by the Vietnamese Journalist Association, which are our next door neighbors and they do use our facilities frequently. We do also cater and serve numerous guests from the... More

We visited the Press Club on a guided tour and had a set three course set menu. The other guests were all european which was a first indication of what was to come. With a soup which was very short on spices and a fish (nice but not too exceptional) and a really unremarkable desert our stomachs were full and... More

We had dinner at the Press Club last Friday night. Food and service was ok, but nothing special. What we found interesting was that the restaurant and bar was almost empty. There were four tables occupied during the entire time we had dinner (7:30pm-9:15pm). After reading the other reviews, I had expected the place to be hopping. I guess we... More

Dear Diner, We certainly appreciate your valuable comments and thank you for your review via Trip Advisor. I am sorry to hearing that you visited us during one of our slower evenings. In general we operate a rather busy lunch service and as we are located in the heart of Hanoi's business district. I would certainly be interested in hearing... More
