I never went for dinner, always for lunch and most of the time late lunch, and I never had to complain, neither about the food, or about the service.

As a resident of Saigon I have dined at the Refinery on 3 occasions and found the experience to be the same, which is constantly average. Firstly the food, for this city, is overpriced. Expect to pay nearly 10 bucks for an hamburger and limp-soggy fries. Now that does include the 10% VAT tax and service, which curiously no one...

This is far and away our favorite place to eat in HCMC. The food (especially the duck confit) is amazing and you have to try the Chatham Cocktail - I've had more of these than I care to admit. The staff are uncharacteristically attentive and the happy hour menu is a great deal.
Very decent place. They do good lunch generally, menu is good, something for everyone. Beware that service during lunch is really really poor and slow - consistently.
One of the semi fine-dining restaurants in town. Okay for a business lunch or dinner, but overpriced for to go back a second time. Nice setting and service etc, but there's more sai gon has to offer than a place which you can find in any city anywhere in the world.
Food is good, great salads and starters, burger is so so

Cool area with several restaurants. Great ambience. We went for a drink, and would have returned for food if we had more time in Saigon.

Ambience is good too, sat outdoor facing the courtyard. There were other restaurants near the refinery and all look promising as well. It didn't get...

I love the Refinery, which has taken over as my Francophile foodie heaven in Ho Chi Minh City. The location is very central, close to the Opera and the Hyatt but quiet set back in the courtyard. Whether I have eaten there in the bustling ambience of the lunch hour or at the more chilled dinner sitting in the evening,...
