In a city filled with wonderful and interesting food served by splendid people in interesting and sometimes very comfortable settings, this big, rude place seems very possible to avoid. There are several floors, and as far as I can tell you get sized up very quickly: while I resented being hauled up to the top floor with lots of the... More

We chose this restaurant because it was across the road from our hotel and we didn't want to be walking the streets trying to decide where to eat. It was also recommended by our tour guide and other tour guests who ate there the previous night. Tet new year was on and it was very busy but i wouldn't say... More

This restaurant is looks great from the outside and is in the main tourist shopping area. Made the fatal mistake of going in for lunch without checking TA first. The service is slow from staff who gave the impression that they would rather be somewhere else. The food was below average for what you would expect from the looks of... More

Lovely from the outside, my partner and I visited Vietnam House without reading any of the review first. We were sat up on the 3rd floor which was ok, but the nice atmosphere seemed to be downstairs. The first part of our meal took over 45 mins to arrive which was a very long time, then the main meal came... More

Vietnamese food, tasty enough but service was slow, and the ambience boring. White flourescent lighting , boring piano music on ground floor, and repetitive traditional music on second floor. Overall , feels like you are sitting in a big canteen. Average if you just want food and don't care about ambience.

This place is setup to suit Tourists. The ambience is very nice and comfortable but the price for the same food is easily 3 times costlier. I won't recommend it for value. If you are desperate for a comfortable Vietnamese cuisine in that area, it will still serve up a hot meal.

A very disappointing evening at Vietnam house. Vietnamese spring rolls were a true delight to begin with although soon went downhill after. Waited a long time for food to come out (although it was busy to be fair). Fish cakes lacked any distinct flavours and crab fried rice was immensely bland. Seafood Noodle dish was palatable although prawns were chewy... More

Staff friendly enough, food is either western or westerinised Vietnamese offerings, have had better and much cheaper elsewhere ... our squid was made of rubber. Terrible pianist who played bad ans sometimes out of key easy listening versions of 80s music inc. Wham. Air on only turned on after I felt like a cooked lobster. Wouldn't go again.

On groundlevel the restaurant looks very chic with a pianist playing soft music. Without having made diner reservation you'll be escorted to the 1st or 2nd level. The traditional music that is performed overthere is quite unusual. Also the decoration is not so nice. By the time I finished my diner, my husband just got his. The waiters seemed to... More

We walked in off the street by chance with no prior knowledge or expectations. We arrived around 6pm and it wasn't busy. Seated straight away and well looked after by the staff. The meals were superb (in particular the braised beef with green peppercorn). Value for Dong Khoi street was very very good. Yes, it is a touristy restaurant, but... More
