Cool unpretentious little cafe. The owner blends feel his own coffee and you can buy a bag - or two. Nice snacks ranging from toasties - western style cheese or asian spicy. Nice cakes, I had a blueberry sponge. comfy sofa, some english language mags, and guaranteed to meet someone for a chat - locals mainly the arty/filmy people.

I've been living in Sri Lanka for about six months now, and Hansa has been my savior. Their coffee is affordable, tasty, and socially responsible. I make a point of stocking up and lounging in the cafe any time I happen to find myself in Colombo. The new chocolate is amazing! Try the 70% with jugherry, its the best.

A small, down to earth cafe which makes one feel entirely at home, which certainly helps make the daily cupful all the more enjoyable. No pretense whatsoever. An occasional poetry reading/musical line up and the wonderful aroma of coffee also adds to the experience.
