Egyptian cuisine is very tasty. Service on a fast and a good level. The best part is the price affordable to everyone. Everybody will enjoy they time.
I’ve stayed in Doha for around 6 months. The Khan Farouk truly took me back home. You walk in, and already feel like you’ve walked into an old yet very cozy local restaurant in Egypt. Let’s start with the pros: 1. Great atmosphere; 2. Friendly staff (make you feel at home); 3. Very nice setup (truly make you feel home);... More
We always wanted to try out this restaurant and this is the first time that we had the chance to have a quick dinner here before we went to see the Ballet last week in Katara. We arrived at 7 PM, no reservations and we had a table straightaway in the non smoking area. The restaurant is in Katara Cultural... More
This is place is amazing in that it's still open. The food is terrible, the service is worse and the prices are insane for what you get. Not to mention that their shisha tastes like pure charcoal
Great Fresh food, bread always just out of the oven. atmosphere is great at night, with a live music band, and teh decor is pretty good. The only two things: is the Shisha, its like a smoke house at night, so with kids we can only go late afternoon. And at night its 100per person!!after 8pm?
The Doha evening weather was perfect for outdoor dining, so that was part of it. But mainly, the Egyptian food was uniformly very good or excellent. Specifically, 'freek with meat', the falafel, and the white cheese salad were excellent. The atmosphere was very relaxed and very Middle Eastern. Walk on by if you don't enjoy the fruity background shisha smells.... More
Very nice place. So authentic Egyptian food and music. Staff are Egyptians in the true spirit of Egypt. The decoration is simple and reminds me of Cairo restaurants.
You have to walk through the scenic cultural village, before you approach the Khan Farouk Tarab Cafe, it is beautifully situated, there was a party of 5 of us. The first thing that really tempted our taste buds was the bread, inside the restuarant there was a woman cooking the bread on a traditional type oven, this was absolutely fabulous.... More
The chicken smelled bad, the place wasn't as clean and the service is terrible. All employees were busy watching the football match rather than serving you or even fixing your table. horrible.
