This restaurant is in the downtown, older section of Asuncion. It is very popular, so be prepared to wait or sit at the horseshoe-shaped counter (which was just fine). They have a variety of foods, so one choose local items, Italian foods, sandwiches, salads, or meats with accompaniments. Prices were reasonable and service was fine.

Service is excellent and pretty quick. It's sort of a basic fast food with dishes of the tradition. And the food is acceptable at a reasonable price. Not more, not less. Will I go back? For sure.

They have both indoor and outdoor sections. Place always crowded because it is conveniently located, opens till late and does cater to mostly a younger crowd. Last time I was travelling alone so sat at the cafe counter. They now have a big sidewalk expansion with TVs and it was packed with people. Popped into this restaurant for a little Sunday lunch and was impressed. The pastry and dessert counter was amazing. Make sure you order a small salad as even that is massive. Homemade mayonnaise was gorgeous. Hot chocolate and coffee were spot on!
