long queuing to get you seated down is meaningless once you eat the samgye-tang !

Well, I think the belief 'Samgye-tang' is healthy food is somewhat reasonable especially in scorching summer. However, I am still in doubt as to which this soup make a person more stronger. Just enjoy this to realise disassembling cooked chicken is kind of art:)

it used to be small resto but since it became well known to AP tourists, they enlarged the place. it is difficlut to have seat during weekend without waiting over couple of hours. Koreans eat hot chicken soup on the most hottest days in summer, and they also eat cold noodle on the most coldest days in winter. They have... More

Within my ten days visit to Seoul I come back twice to this place. The Samgyetang really delicious and the Queue Line are long, but worth it. My suggestion come early with your empty stomach :) by the way for additional info this place has real nice interior.

After reading some of the rave reviews of Tosokchon, we visited with really high hopes. I have had the clear ginseng chicken broth elsewhere in South Korea 10 years ago and was looking forward to trying this one since it had so many accolades. There was a moderate queue outside as it was lunch time, but the line moved quickly... More

I used to spend a lot of time in Korea, in particular Seoul, back in 2001 because the company I worked for has business in Korean. Since 2002, I did not go back because I changed my job. There is one restaurant in Seoul that is always on my mind, and that is Tosokchon. I can never forget its ginseng... More

This is the most delicious samge tang in the world!! I have tried a lot of samge tang but this is the best after all. I always go to this restaurant when I visit Seoul. It is very popular, so better go there earlier than lunch time, otherwise end up queuing ! This is my favorite restaurant for a long... More

Heard advise about the long queue from TA forums, so went there during the late morning at about 11am. No queue and was able to get a table immediately. Ordered the Ginseng Chicken for both of us and as expected from usual comments by fellow TA forumers, the food came pretty fast. Didn't really have the time to enjoy my... More
