"Myoungdong Kyoja" (Kyoja means dumpling) is most famous noodle store in Myoungdong area formerly known as "Myoungdong Kalgugsu" (Kalgugsu means hot noodle soup with flat noodle like fettuccine) Although they change the name store with their main dish "Kyoja", I don't want to recommend "Kyoja". I would rather recommend "Kong-gug-su", cold noodle with bean soup, if you're ready to try... More

located @ the heart of Myeong-dong, it was not difficult to find the restaurant since I had browsed it prior to visit Seoul. The kyoja were nice taste so that we decided to return on the next day... Price per portion is reasonable ( if not mistaken, 8000 won ) and portion size were okay for a person to eat..

Dense flavor of garlic in Kimchi is rather good. Korean dumplings are less than expectation. Kalgooksoo, the noodle, is rich but mild in some context. But I will choose to visit other area in Korea to enjoy this type of noodle especially in Choongchung province. Or at least other noodle diners in Seoul. This place is mediocre in my opinion.... I don't find anything so special about the mandu, Gyoza and chicken broth.I was told that their standard has drop but I like the handmade noodle. Service is fast, you will have to make payment to the once you have made your order. Extra rice and kimchi are serve free. Their kimchi is very spicy, very strong ginger taste. Overall,... More

Before my trip to Seoul my friends told me it was the must-try in Myeongdong. There were long queues everyday. Good try. Not that yummy frankly

It is not expensive, it is for the common local people's dish. Most of Asian friends loved that when Korea is really cold thanks to the hot soup and meat soup.

Myeongdong Kyoja serves up some good kalguksu (noodle soup) and mandu (dumplings) at a good price. Their menu is short and everything is 8000 won. Kalguksu is a knife cut noodle soup with some ground beef and dumplings. The kimchi here, which can be very spicy at times, pairs very well with the kalguksu broth. One time I was here... More

If you like noodle and dumplings, you MUST visit this place. Excellent noodle with delicious thick chicken broth which you eat with very spicy Korean Kimchi. And their dumplings are killers!!! Must go there!

The dumplings are the best I have ever had! And I live in Asia! The soup was perfect for the cold weather too. The waitress was very Korean in her shortness and attitude. But almost everywhere is like that in Korea.
