We felt removed from the hustle and bustle of the souk. I had a deliciously fresh guava juice. Decor is Egyptian Turkish. Very appealing. Food was quite good. Had a hummus appetizer and lamb shank with roast potatoes for the main course. Service was attentive. Definitely felt like I was in Egypt.

Great lemon and mint juice, fine selection platters of mezze and lovely bread served by very pleasant wonderfully uniformed staff. A welcome break from the bustle of Khan-al-khalli but spoilt by the many tourist troupes with leaders barking at their charges like it's the company canteen.

The waiters are all outfitted in traditional Ottoman attire (it's a little kitschy) but the cafe is a gem.
