Amazing location - a floating restaurant with beautiful views of the creek. Food was great - the steaks are excellent and very good value. Nice music too - very chilled out place - loved it.

Came here for a late lunch en route from Mombasa to Malindi. A little difficult to find from the highway (poor signage) and a short trek down from the parking lot to the floating restaurant.
Very slow service, but that gives you a chance to enjoy the scenery on the waterways. Clientele is a mix of tourists and locals enjoying...

I give this review bearing in mind that it was during Easter and the staff may have been overwhelmed. One waiter though (cant remember his name) worked hard to make us feel comfortable and provide us with fast service. The food was ok, not much to write home about.... wide menu, pricey but not exciting. The one man band show...

My friend and i were in Mombasa n were craving for sea food. Food was average but they have no butter with bread. What you get is some foul smelling margarine. Come on moorings! Butter is soo cheap in kenya! The price of food is not fair either
We had drinks here and it really was a nice view and nice ambiance. Intended to stop for lunch but service was so slow for drinks and the menu seemed a bit overpriced so we decided not to bother and go somewhere else.
Would recommend couple of drinks if you have lots of time but only if you don't mind...

Very nice setting, nice to get a bit away from Mombassa center, food was really good (awesome seafood platter for 2 at 50$) Service was ok, can't complain, a bit slow at times but yet food came right on time.
Only annoying point was the movements on the barge (you can eat in the restaurant, on the balcony, on the...

Haven't been here for some time but pleasantly surprised when we called in early Sunday.
Was shown to a nice table by attentive waiter.
Food was excellent - Fillet of fish with prawns in a mustard sauce and Prawn Fajitas were our choice. Very happy with choice.
Indulged in a dessert - Warm Pineapple in a chilli syrup with coconut...

If I could to conjure up a restaurant it would be The Moorings, or something pretty close to it. The view of the creek is simply breathtaking . You do have to wait over an hour for the food but it is well worth it (watching the sunset over cocktails makes for a good distraction. The food is much more...
