First time peking duck. Had heard mixed reviews but stumbled upon it and was hungry. Tasty - glad I got to experience some duck. However, it was too expensive I think. The previous evening while lost we ate at a locals place, got loads of authentic food for about £10 (meat noodles, fish custard, dumplings, meat breads). All we ordered... More

it's just average. I didn't really feel like it was anything special. If you had peking duck before in NYC china town or Seoul, i would say they are better than Quanjude

Good location and comfortable environment to enjoy my first Peking duck, but note this restaurants preference for a fattier duck skin.

We have been here 4 years ago shortly before the Olympic games and the service and the food were excellent. Today we were being pushed through a packed and noisy place with little service, little English and a less than poor duck, We got the duck with all the trimmings when we were here the first time but today everything... Overrated and overpriced. The food is average or below. Service staff are efficient but impersonal. The restaurant turns around guests so rapidly that as soon as you ask for the bill, your table is released for the people in the queue. Will not go back again.

Great Duck a lot of fun for a big party but ultra traditional side dishes didnt do the trick for me but hey dont say you dont like it til you try it. I loved the fact that they cover the chairs with this wonderfully purple cloth after you take your coat off to not allow dirt to get on... More

We were all psyched for this meal whick was good but not great! I think the name and history have supassed their performance. Very little English. It was a bit dated and messy - and they place six Americans in a back room area. I would look for better spots next time...

Not price wise -however if you want a clean dinning go for it. Better make a reservation first. Food is good.

Like the Great Wall, Quanjuda is a must when travelling to Beijing. It is a family style restaurant. The Peking Duck was a first and I felt very good. They also give you a "certificate" showing you what number of bird you had. I think our table had the billionth bird ever served there. Be sure to share your number.

I was taken to one of the branches of this restaurant in NE Beijing by business colleagues. We had the traditional roast duck which I thought was delicious. We also had several other dishes including lamb and vegetables which were also very good. The service was excellent as well. I would recommend this restaurant for a taste of traditional Peking...
