We only had three evenings in Beijing and had to have the best Peking Duck. DaDong did not let us down. There were two of us and we ordered a half a duck. It is not on the menu, but they are more than willing to carve just a half. With an extra vegetable dish or two, it is the... More

My 2nd visit! Now they have free red & white wine, and juices, that one can help themselves to, while waiting for a table to be free. Prices are of course steep.......service is very good. Had deer tendons 1st time, unusual and good! Best Beijing duck I've ever had still

Sure, the duck was great, but so was the rest of our meal! We had the best roasted eggplant I've ever had and a delicious and different sweet potato and plum dish. We also got some both/soup, a better sorbet-like dessert, and fresh fruit included without ordering. All fantastic.

This review is for the Dadong Restaurant at Jinbao Dasha, Jinbao Jie, Dongcheng District was posted in March. Since then nobody seems to have taken notice that this restaurant is a health hazard. Read on and dine at your own risk: During our dining experience at Dadong and as we were waiting for our check, I noticed a waitress standing... More

We just moved to Beijing, and have tried several restaurants for Peking duck. Dadong is our favorite and top choice. The duck is lean, well roasted and the chef will thinly slice it. Presentation is great too. The duck skin which you could coat with some sugar melts in your mouth. The restaurant ambimce is nice n modern, service is... More

I researched Beijing Duck restaurants thoroughy and chose Dadong because so many people reviewed it favorably. We were not disappointed. The Duck was wonderful and the restaurant was a great experience. I would recommend trying the sugar coating - yummy! Also, I'm not sure if it's on the menu, but we were able to order a half duck, which worked... More

Super duck - the "leanest" duck in town according to the "Beijinger" in which readers again voted it a readers favorite for duck. I like the "Fusion" style to the food in which traditional Chinese food is reinvented and looks really interesting. I highly recommend this place for visitors and business meetings. But make reservations!!!

Wish we had come here on our first night in Beijing rather than our last...the Duck was great, however, everything on their menu looked equally amazing....and would have loved to return to try some of their other dishes. As per some of the previous reviews, service was lack-lustre, our full roast duck came out in two halves, but dont let... More

We have tried the roasted duck after tried one in The Peking Duck private kitchen which had great reviews also. It was better in Dadong restaurant. It was realy excelent. But it was double price. Service wasn't as good as expected for such an elegant restaurant. We have ordered a duck and I had to ask them to cut it... More
