Hatsune has some great dishes. Absolute favourite is the Dry Roast Mackerel. This keeps me going back! The salads with plum dressing are fresh and tasty. The sashmi and rolls excellent. Try the Ume Maki and some of the spicy rolls. This is not classic Japanese style sushi. If you want that try Yotsuba. So what put me off coming... More

The food at Hatsune is very good. The food is fresh and delicious. It is slightly expensive, but this place is worth the visit. the decor is nice and the place is clean. The waitress is friendly. Overall the service is good. The tempura, sashimi and udon are great, very authentic. There is wide range of sushi available to choose... More

Hatsune serves good sushi. A bit pricey by Beijing standards, but not overpriced. Probably not worth going out of your way to eat here, but certainly worth a visit if you are in the neighborhood. They have some creative rolls, fish is fresh, salads are great.

We went there at 8PM a Friday and it actually looked closed from outside. You take the stairs two floors up and enter the restaurant through a "sesam open you door". The staff is friendly. We had not made a reservation but were offered to sit in the bar but we choose to wait for a table for 5 min... More

This fun, delicious, and hip Californian-style Japanese restaurant boasts the atmosphere and food quality have made and still make it a Beijing legend. The fresh sashimi plates and scrumptious "California" rolls are the order of the evening, with a mind boggling array of dishes that are a feast for the mouth, and eyes!

Went there with two friends, one from LA and the other from Thailand, after we were tired with greasy Chinese food and Peking duck! The sushi there was not truly authentic, however good enough for us. The downside was the ambience of the restaurant. The lighting and the layout were OK. It was Crowded, Noisy and the tables were Not... More

Few weeks ago, i and some friends went to share a great dinner a hatsune. I guess many people do know that place because it was one of the rare place in Beijing where you should book your table in advance. Really nice plates. My favourite "Pimp my roll"
