I always come here with my friend from Seoul. He also likes this place. We always order the same dishes as he knows that there will be no MSG. There is no view just other diners, you can take your time to catch up no one will bother you. The space and interiors are easy to your eyes, you can... More

The Mandarin Oriental is a very special and world class hotel. Cafe Causette does not match the hotel's ambience and status. The food and beverage served are typical of coffee shops in hotels. The cake and chocolates counter is much more interesting.

Maitre 'd Joanne Chan is just so good - her memory of names and likes is amazing. Casual but classy cafe.

Hainanese Chicken Rice is a guarantee good pick in the restaurant. Salmon steak is nicely done that it was never overcooked. Always a cute pink in the middle. And the mashed potato is a must-have.

It is a very good cafe but quite pricey. When it's the Mandarin Oriental you can expect first class service and the menu has a variety of Asian and Western choices.

It used to be better. Wonder what happened? The service is fine, a bit hurried, perhaps, but courteous. The food has been disappointing the last 3 times that I've been. Stick to the Clipper Lounge for tea, the Chinnery for old school British lunch, the Grill for dinner. Pierre was disappointing.

The menu has everything from French, Italian, Indian, Chinese, American food. The service is very good, up to Mandarin Oriental standards. A loaf of piping hot bread arrives. The house smoked salmon is terrific, as is the sea bass. Expect to pay Mandarin prices, so about 50% more than at a comparable stand alone restaurant in HK. The ambiance is... More

Excellent choice of food ranging from Japanese, Thai, Chinese, Western etc at reasonably price (avg USD30 per head for lunch) for a 5-star hotel. Also a good place for tea or breakfast.
