Get here between 11 & 12 or your well end up waiting. No, seriously. At 12:05 there was a lineup down the stairs. Best dim sum I've ever had. Shrimp dumplings were incredible. Great service and so delicious.

Better than I expected. A bit tricky to locate in the City Hall precinct, but worth persisting with. If you're coming for lunch, you should try and arrive prior to noon, especially on the weekend, or you will be faced with a long wait. We arrived at about 1215 and had to wait 45 minutes. However it was worth it.... More

I had great expectations from this place, and they were only slightly disappointed. The pros: location is good, very central. Venue is very very good, large chandeliers, airy and bright. Food is not bad at all. Probably not ideal for me as I don't know dim sums too much, but still very 'interesting'. Price is OK, considering the location. Queues... More

Yummy, plentiful and inexpensive in a nice room. A bit hard to find, but worth it. The dessert dumplings with black sesame paste are the perfect ending.

Maxim's Palace is a little difficult to find in the City Hall, but it is well worth the perseverance. We had a short wait for maybe 15 minutes, but when seated the carts of dim sum were very quick to arrive. The range is not as broad as some other fine eateries, but is still very good meeting a wide... More

A must visit for tourists. Great place ! Noisy with the friendly waitresses serving delicious dim sum on their trolleys . The way it use to be in HK. Slowly fading away ! Love it !

I love this shop very much. It's dim sum dishes are above standard in Hong Kong. If I am there, I must order Steamed Rice with Chicken Legs and Little Ribs (Some ladies put a cart out with Steamed Rice). Don't forget to add some soya sauce into your steamed rice.

When one is in Hong Kong, having dimsum is a must do experience. At 1230pm, it was full. We waited for about 10 minutes before we were given a table. Good shrimp toast. Lots of choices from trolleys. I would go back again for the quality of the food and the central location.

Quality spot... very clean... comfortable... VERY busy so get there early around 11:30AM and take you time. Go with a group so you can enjoy some treats - try the unusual. A bit hard to find... inside the concert center... worth it! NY Times had a good review recently.

Worth the wait for the experience. Elegant room with crystal chandeliers and women circulating with trolleys and/or trays of different dim sum. Excellent steamed BBQ pork buns; interesting selections like fried squid with spicy salt; and traditional sweets like coconut and sesame 'pudding' (like striped jell-o) and sweetened almond soup.
