Worst restaurant experience: i don't even write reviews but I felt the need for this one. They charge you for hot tap water... who does that? Even michellin star restaurants to hole in the wall does not charge for hot water to drink! Had to wave the waitress down several times, who did not get my tea order right. She...

Some dishes are really upscale and surprising, some are a bit under expectation, but the overal make it a nice dinner place. It remains a bit too expensive from my point of view
Under the occasion of the HK Restaurant Week 2011, it gives us a chance to dine in a quality restaurant with a special 3-course menu and an amazing price.
Orange Tree, I heard it’s the only Dutch Restaurant in HK (there’re several restaurants claimed that they’re ‘Dutch’ restaurants but indeed not traditionally running by Dutch owners, except this one). I’m...

if you are hungry and want a hearty winter meal for not such a high price, just go up the escalator to Orange Tree, you won't leave hungry and it is good food
My partner and I were given a present of dinner here as an engagement present. the restaurant is not cheap for Hong Kong, but not too pricey for westeners. Upon being seated we were offerred bread, which we enquired if was made on premises. We were then told by the rude waiter that the restaurant has no resources for making...

Our party of six had a meal of seafood which was very expensive, but given the cost of living and cost of western food in Hong Kong, this was not unexpected. But we then had food poisoning soon afterwards. Unfortunately the owner became hostile and defensive. Being tourists we didn't know if this was usual in Hong Kong. The next...

But then they mentioned haring (herring) and eerwtesoep (pea soup), and I just have to have some. Yes, compared to a haringkraam in Amsterdam, you will be paying through the nose for a couple of herring. But...

Orange Tree is a great restaurant, not only if you're Dutch. Of course they have great bitterballen and poffertjes if you're craving a bit of the Dutch delicacies but in general their food is more French so there's a good selection for everyone. A great place for a nice meal.
Enjoyed the seared scallops wrapped in parma ham and the lamb shank. The lamb fillet ws alas a little plain - but came with excellent creamy / buttery baked potatoes!
