I've been living in Hong Kong for the past 6 months and decided to take a visiting guest to the Peninsula High Tea event after reading up on it being one of the Best High Tea events in Hong Kong. We went to the event and waiting for about 40 minutes to only be disappointed at this "High Tea" event... More

I took my Australian friend here in 2002 for afternoon tea, we came back this year again when she was in town this month 2012. We queued longer but it was worth it and had not changed. I also took two Japanese friends here in November 2010 for early lunch of Singapore Noodles and Ice lemon tea, it was then... More

appreciate some have to queue for a long time, but we arrived in the morning so had a lovely time. I recommend going in morning after breakfast as there was no crowd and we had sublime service.

Still worth a visit if you have time . Not a must go to place, but only if you're in that area, and need a break

There are some things you should do in HK: one of them is to have “High Tea” in the lobby of the Peninsular. Relax in the ambiance of long ago with chamber music drifting down as you pick at the tid-bits of luxury cascading down the tray in front of you. Oh – don’t forget to bend the little finger... More

We were told that afternoon tea is a must do in HK at The Peninsula. What a treat it was. At no time did we feel pressured to eat up and go despite the queue growing by the minute for people to be seated. Delicious sausage rolls, delicate sandwiches with a variety of fillings and a plate full of sweet... More

Afternoon tea at the Peninsula is a Hong Kong tradition. They bring a tower with three plates: a selection of small sandwiches, 4 raisin scones and some little cakes/dessert nibblies, plus a small bowl of clotted cream and strawberry jam and a small teapot and some extra hot water. And when you are done with those, your meal is over.... More

the "afrtenoon tea" is a bit over the top but just enjoying some tea and watching the international clientele is so much fun.

So, I did. It was a fun location for people watching, comfortable, calm and relaxing. Tea service was delicious with the best scones and clotted cream ever. I lingered over the tea for a long time and was not disturbed or rushed. Fun treat to do in Hong Kong.
