Just get a whole huge head of fish and eat with friends, its enough for everybody. One of the most delicious meals I have ever eaten in my life!!! Worth the trip to Singapore really!!!

if this is the 1 on Race course Rd then its not popular with the locals and u will mostly find tourists here. the biryani is not even worth a try. better try Aromas of India just further down from them. although the fish head curry which Singapore is famous for was pretty good

The name "Banana leaf" comes from their style of serving the food on literally a banana leaf. The site of steamed white rice served on a green banana leaf is bound to increase your appetite and make sure you have space in your belly to accommodate all the servings there :)

We recently went here for lunch and had one of the best currys we've ever eaten. Amazing! Good portions, well spiced, beautiful flavours. Just make sure you check your bill carefully, as we had a couple of extra things placed on it... It was good value (after the extras had been taken off!). I would highly recommend.

I've been here before and never had a bad dining experience. I think the management here prove that good food at reasonable prices is away from the five star hotels. Dining alone isn't much fun but when the food is this good, it's easy to just drink the cold Tiger beer and tuck in!

quick, I do takeaways and their food is always freshly made and ready. I see a lot of people eating here, I have eaten here once and its quite popular with all folks. Some good dishes are the chicken pepper fry, chicken 65 and the biryani which is only available on the weekend.

We had walked along Race Course road and I must say that this restaurant was the busiest in terms of customers. So naturally, we queued up and within 5 minutes had our table. There were 3 of us and we ordered the curry fish head (speciality) which was just nice i.e. not too spicy and not too thick gravy. The... More

A favourite of mine. I have been coming here for years. It has a mixture of locals and tourists and even celebrities( mel gibson enjoyed a curry here). It is famous for its fish head curry. There are different sizes but the portion is huge, therefore I would suggest you order the smallest size. Drinks can be a little expensive... More

Went for dinner on a Sunday about 6pm and it was quiet and plenty of tables available. You now order by iPad which is cool. The flavours and spicyness were much more intense than Indian food in Australia, although we soon adjusted. After a long walk around the local Little India shopping streets (an experience in itself) a well-priced beer... More
