We stayed in Little India and were delighted to find sublime French food just beyond Farrer Park MRT station. We were even happier with the bill - an absolute bargain.

The location of the French Stall is a bit unusual, at the middle of Little India ...
Our Indian taxi driver was dubious until we reached the place :)
My partner and I ordered a la carte, 3 starters and 1 main course.
We had Rillette, Salmon in Two-Way and Escargots in Crispy Skin.
They were all delicious. The salmon...

Wow, what a difference 6 months makes. Since our last visit things have seriously gone stale at the French Stall, let me explain.
Our latest (and our last) visit for dinner began as my wife selected our usual table and even before her backside hit the seat was subjected to a outburst of 'tonite's specials' from the hovering waitress, not...

Seeing a hole in the wall selling French food in Little India is quite exciting. Especially when rumour has it that these French cuisine are priced as low as stall food. Visited this restaurant as I have a craving for foie GRAS today. Saw the review at trip advisor and decided to try it out. Make a reservation for 6pm. Reached at around 5.50pm and the servers were still having their dinner. Were seated at about 6pm and given the menu, but I already had in mind what to order and...

They did not offer to change nor recover the bad experience we had! We...

After almost 5 years, returning to TFS was like coming home to great home-cook French food. The French Stall has just celebrated it's 10th birthday and they are celebrating with a month of nightly cabaret where even the chef and his wife sing! They have also changed their name to TFS Bistro. The service was excellent and the food was very good in a friendly bistro setting. Well worth a visit.
Duck Liver Pate a must try, plus Chefs specials - last night lamb shank, hard to beat ,value for money and food that tastes like it has come from an authentic french kitchen. Servings also suggest that they want you to come back . We have discovered this local treasure and have introduced The French Stall now to many of...
