I really liked everything about this place. The service is great, the food and drink yummy and the eating area was authentic and had island charm. Barracks Cafe made the best iced coffee I've ever had. It was also nice to see a couple of 'different' things on the menu like Hungarian pankcakes. You can eat on a table outside...

Opening at 8.00 a.m., your first opportunity for purchasing some breakfast on Christmas Island. Very adequate breakfast menu, and very helpful staff. Went there every day, and would go again.

This roadside cafe offers the most amazing selection of burgers from the simplest to the most extravagant. Apart from that, the fresh Wahoo (fish) is amazing. Steaks and salads are all done to perfection. As well as the food comes a wealth of friendship and local knowledge.
