I was expecting lovely hot chocolate in this popular cafe. No hot chocolate, pleasant cake but nothing special. Service was also a little brusque.
We just popped in for afternoon tea and cake. The cakes were very good (although they were out of strudel) but service was very perfunctory and we were asked to pay even though we hadn't finished and it was only half full,l which we found a little strange. Didn't bother going back as found friendlier places to visit.
Excellent location and the end of main plaza in old town. Large covered outdoor area is best for people watching; it gets crowded but you can find a seat outside if you wait 5-10mins. There are no good food options here but you can get a coffee or beer and servers will leave you be to enjoy. Lastly, the wifi... More
A wonderful little restaurant with great views of the harbour - you can look out over the water and watch the boats come and go. The staff were really helpful and spoke good english. To eat we had stuffed pork with a baked potato and a 'dubrovnik sword' dish of mixed pork and chicken. Both meals were lovely. The house... More
Within the one building there is a restaurant facing onto the harbour and a coffee shop facing onto the main square within the old town. They are owned by the same company. We had a coffee and cakes at the coffee shop. The coffee was good and the cakes were very good. Service was friendly, quick and efficient. There is... More
After doing the city wall walk, and looking round the old town, we stopped at Gradskavana for our cappuccino, we were greeted with a friendly smile from the staff, we sat outside and watch the world go by, the menu looked very good and with reasonable prices.
Wonderful staff, lovely spot to watch the world go by and delicious cakes and ice creams too! We had to wait for a table as there were 8 in our group but it was totally worth it to sit in such a great position to see all the tourists coming and going. Not a huge selection of cakes but we... More
nice view and friendly staff but first of all, delicious cakes! we ordered custard and maccaroni and both were lovely. design isn't spectacular but I prefer good food to a beautiful table.
Essentially an old fashioned central European café. A splendid stone terrace right in the centre of things, even though there are large marquises that shadows during day time it can get rather hot. A large lofty room inside with great wifi connection. A perfect spot for sitting down planning your next move, also a good spot to wait if your... More
