Just didn't 'get' this restaurant. The steaks were served on very small plates, the stringy fries were too stringy to eat with a knife and fork, fell apart when you picked them up with your fingers, and the portion was so large they soon went cold. Expected same quality as in the US of A and were dissapointed. Instead of medium a well done steaks arrived, too salty and spicy(!) On another occasion steaks were better - suspect they have at least two different chief cooks there, one of which is unreliable and another just slightly better.

Great food, service and music - it ticks all the boxes (service especially which is severely becoming poorer across the city). The french gypsy jazz band offers visitors a different musical experience than most of the commercial ipod tracks in other places.

The ambience was not bad. The steaks we ordered were to our satisfaction. The staff were courteous & polite. Over all a nice experience. However, it was nothing exceptional - i might go there again, but not that I would rush there in a hurry.

Everything about this outpost of Chris in Dubai is average - location in an average (a bit tacky in fact) hotel, food, wine selection, service, price and atmosphere. But it's still quite a decent and flavourful rib eye served piping hot.

The steaks are the best in the world at Ruth's Chris, period. Ghazzi, the general manager, has put together some of the best jazz sounds around in the lounge and some great live jazz on thursdays. A must while in Dubai if you love great steaks and jazz.
