This is a great restaurant, however a bit pricey. Ambience is quite funky. The tuna steak on a lava rock although expensive definitely delivers, fantastic presentation and amazing flavor.

The Galapagos is all about nature and I love that but Tintorera was a welcome respite. Great drinks, service, wifi, and the atmosphere is completely adorable. Indoor/outdoor in perfect combination and right in the middle of town.

This use to be my husband's favorite restaurant in Puerto Ayora. He loved the fresh fish cooked on the lava rock. This last time, however we were both very disappointed with our dishes. The portions were half the size they were in January 2012 and the prices had gone increased by almost 50%.

We enjoyed their food, especially the vegetarian options, which were varied and tasty, unlike every other place we tried in Puerto Ayora (on the rare occasion they were even available).

My wife and I were greeted by the owners at the door welcoming us in like family, after a 30 minute conversation with them personally, really made us feel welcome to be here!
The music and atmosphere in this place reminds me of home in downtown Dallas Tx
The drinks are excellent price and just can't get enough of this...
