We follow the advice of previous reviewers and stop by only for dessert at this colonial relic. Yet we feel somewhat disappointed by the "homemade" pastries and ice cream, no match to Toko Oen, a similarly atmospheric café in Semarang. Go only if you have a lot of time to spare.

The title says it all. Stick to the dessert, the homemade ice cream I had was quite good. The cap cay would have been mediocre at half the price, but you pay a premium for the history of the place. Get only dessert, and leave feeling you got your money's worth while checking out a piece of colonial Medan.

Really? The sign in front of the restaurant explain us that this place established at 1939. The food is goooooddd!!! The ambience is so vintage.. The service are nice...

Only if you are a fanatic of an old resto ambiance, you don't wanna visit this one. The price is bit off the hook from other regular resto offer the same menu. But, maybe they try to maintain the quality aside then quantity. (which i don't see any worth compare to their price).

Located right on the side road. They have non aircon and aircon seatings. Tried the homemade strawberry icecream...it is not like today's icecream which is very creamy and it is not that sweet...taste...not too bad. They have a variety of food and cakes.
