This is not your normal Thai roadside restaurant, but it is owned by a German and his Laotian partner. The food could be described as more fusion than Thai and certainly made a welcome change after a while. The Tiger Prawns were outlandishly good.

When we read the reviews of this place i have to admit i was a little put off by the french aspects of the place. This was the best restaurant we ate in in Thailand. It is open air seating with a reasonable size menu. Everything we ate in here across the 3 night was superb. The two Northern dishes...

Although the restaurant was not busy service was slow, then when the food arrived we were given wrong order by which time we were ready to walk out. When the food came we both thought it was very average
Really great Thaifood!!! Maybe a little to close to the mainroad (noisy), but that is the only minus about this place. If you want to eat very good thaifood - do not hestitate!!! We went a couple of times, and we were never dissapointed. the staff is very friendly, and the atmosphere is calm, relaxed and authentic. :-)
What an incredible dinner! The owner met us at the threshold to determine our language of choice, he was very pleasant and personable. The spring rolls were the best I've ever had! We went here just for fun, not sure what we got into. When we arrived, the atmosphere was exciting and calming at the same time. Ordered a seared barracuda, but it came out overcooked. The owner came and tasted it, took it back to the kitchen, and took the dish off our bill. You just can't get better than that....

I had the snapper in red curry and I have to say it was the best fish I had in a long time. Great food
Sorry, it was my own fault. Why did I have to order the Greek dish Gyros and Zatziki in a French restaurant in Thailand? It just had to be an 80% disappointment. Except for the tomato slices nothing was authentic, the meat was not hot and tender, the French Fries no resemblance to Greek fried potatoes, the Zatziki an unidentifiable...

We have. Visited this restaurant twice so far during our stay and found a welcoming reception from the very helpful staff. The ambience of the place is relaxed and after a long busy day a greet place to be. Will return again and recommend you give O'Rendezvous a visit and you will not be disappointed.
