We ate here and I had the most delicious fish cooked in banana leaves, it was served with very tasty garlic potatoes and salad, my husband had the special which was a very tasty steak, nice atmosphere also, think we will return before we go home.

I had a delicious "creme mango" and a good coffee there, I felt relaxed enough to fall asleep on the lounge area, great sea view, a bit windy, a bit of shade..just a perfect spot, I highly recommend this place, quiet and comfy!

Yes a bit of a dump. Food was terrible. Fish was past it's prime, smelled fishy. Owner said it tasted ok. Not acceptable at any level. Served sandwich bread with the confit....odd and again not acceptable. Melted camembert had the rind left on, leaving an acidic flavor....difficult to remove from hot cheese. nothing is better than eating lemongrass clams and tuna tar tar while sipping Chablis on the beach. la Banyan offers such a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere that you won't want to leave, and that is why we spent three days in a row there.
