This was good katsu don but the sauce definitely takes some getting used to. I think the Nagoya style sauce is to use thick red/brown miso that is sweetened. The Katsu itself was great but the sauce wasn't quite to my taste. Still, it's one of the dishes I was told to try in Nagoya apart from kishimen noodles so... More

It's simple, but delicious....but ignore the calories!! You can't go wrong with a katsu, but the famous Nagoya miso katsu is delicious!! I had it two ways - Nagoya style and traditional style - both great. Service here is super cheerful - and you have to love the pig carved chairs and other pig decor - super cute (Japan-style desu... Trying Miso Katsu!! It's very delectable more than I thought! I never forget the taste. I've gone Yabaton in Nagoya Intenatianal Airport. There are many people. So, you should almost wait in line. Trying Miso Katsu with japanese beer like Ashai.

I never thought Tonkatsu could be so delicious, but came here to find out what all the rave reviews were all about. How good can a tonkatsu be? And, yes this has got to be best tonkatsu that I have ever had! The miso tonkatsu was DELICIOUS. Crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside. The service was... More

I visitted this restaurant on many occasions in the past but on my recent trip, instead of having the tonkatsu(pork) I had the oyster (kaki fried). The oysters were fresh and plumpy, fried katsu style to perfection. Really enjoyed it. Also at a new branch in the La Chic building on 7th floor where the restaurant is more spacious.

Since I moved here in Aichi a few months ago, everybody`s telling me to try Misokatsu - one of nagoya`s famous specialty. So I tried it, and as I expected, it was delicious!!! The pork is so tender, tasty and juicy, and the miso sauce was kinda sweet which is very perfect to the the pork tonkatsu. Maybe my only... More

One of the best Katsu I have ever taste. The serving is big and the service was good. There are many people waiting to get a table.

From Nagoya airport, we took the train to Nagoya train station on our way to Kyoto. We were lucky to accidentally find this place at the 9th floor as it was already in my list of restos to look for. It's a great place to try Misokatsu or tonkatsu (breaded prok cutlets) with red miso sauce. I don't recommend the... More

Trying Miso Katsu, one of Nagoya's specialties, was a must during my trip. Yabaton was clean, fast, and wonderfully tasty! Iced green tea was poured for us as we were sitting, I was thoughtfully handed the English menu while my colleagues were given the local version, and our food was in front of us before I could even think about... loved it. i went to the one in the underground mall at nagoya station. every bit as good as others said. loved the miso katsu, not greasy, tasty and get the cabbage or shredded leeks. free iced green tea, forget the beers there, they are expensive and small.
