This place is highly rated by the locals, and is always crowded. It is a corner open-aired type coffee shop place, that may not appeal to everyone. If you are after some average and reasonably priced local foods, as well as the opportunity to eat and feel like a local, then give this place a try. If you are after... More

We ate dinner here twice while in KK--fried shrimp in chilli sauce and fried shrimp salted (small portion, 12RM each) both reminded us of Chinese take-out you get in the U.S., but tastier. Those two shrimp dishes, two servings of steamed rice, small plate of sautéed kale (6RM) and two small waters came to 36RM--about $6USD per person--not the cheapest... More

We went for dinner and agree with the earlier reviewer citing his Singapore GF: The food is not that great. Would not return or recommend to friends. (And yes, the name is actually "Fatt Kee"...)

Assam Fish with ladies finger was great. Fried chicken was good.....Its always crowded, when you're seated and before you finish your meal there are people(other customers) waiting to occupy the seats when we finish...most probably this happens during dinner time!!

A local Chinese coffee shop, no aircon, very old type of coffee shop... but the food are very nice. I like their chicken wings and tofu! Very easy to locate this place. And the price are reasonable! Worth to try this restaurant.

We ordered fried chilli chicken, assam (tamarind) fish in a clay pot, and fried kang kong (morning glory vegetable). I thought they were OK, but the Singapore girlfriend was "disappointed". The chicken was just OK. The assam fish was too oily and had too much tumeric. She also said that this dish should have eggplant and okra, not green beans... More

This has to be one of the best chinese restaurants in KK. The food is superb. better in an evening, lunch is a set menu for office workers. Go early or late, not enough tables and lots of people want to eat.

Took my family, including 3 kids under 11yo. The whole family looked skeptically at me when we arrived, after a week long staple 'diet' of westernised hotel restaurants. But as soon as the food arrived there were no more doubts and all plates were almost licked clean!! Would highly recommend everyone to go there. Staff were very friendly too. Bonus... More

Fat Kee is a place you'd go to whilst on holiday when you want to feel like a local and have a meal with minimal fuss. It's a corner, open aired style restaurant so if you're looking for a cool air-conditioned restaurant with some service then you need to look elsewhere. But, if you want to experience some delicious food... More

It's Fat Kee instead of Fatty Kee. Yummy food: tau fu, fried prawns, vegetables, soups etc., & served fast. Be there early. We did our homework & went early before 7pm and still have to wait for 20 minutes. We saw people waiting in the rain for more than half a hour!
