Love everything about this place! Great service, prices are affordable, food taste great. Plus, they have the best cookies in town!!!
no kidding, this resto cooks the best steak in cebu... we had this steak-tasting activity and Don Mertos was the most pleasing and sumptious. i love the atmosphere too!
First of all the waitress I greet on arrival did not even notice me. Then second, 2 meals which I choose from the menu,, one of them was Beef Lengua, were not available. Apart of that, the menu looks nice, a good mix of various meals. So I decide for a very common Pancit, but it was almost tasteless and... More
We ate there a couple times during our stay on Philippines in December 2012. It may be not cheap compared to a few other local restaraunts, but it's great! We tried the Belgium cookies just like advised on foursquare, and they were awesome. Also, it was the first glass of Calamansi juice in my life — and it was awesome... More
Very good restaurant, kind & professional staff, more expensive than local food restaurant of course (except the delicious chicken, good for 2), but very good, we ate there 4 times, don't hesitate to go there, everything is good (except the burgers).

Since the Sinulog event was still currently happening around the city, people are everywhere that my friends and I thought the place might not be able to accomodate us properly. Luckily,... More
I frequent Don Merto's for their breakfast selection @p128/meal. That already includes rice/bread, 2 eggs, juice/hot choco and a viand of your choice. Their bacon is a personal fave. Their serving is huge as well so you're getting your money's worth. The ambience is nice as well as it's not particularly crowded as compared to other times of the day.... More
I liked the name. Don Merto would not be happy with the food they are serving right now. The place is too assuming. The price is not compatible with the quality of food they served. i can find better food preparation with the price tag from other authentic Filipino food.
Went once to get a takeaway of the famed Belgian chocolate cookies (they NEVER disappoint) and was curious about the menu. Since we were short on time, we decided to return the following day for lunch. Ordered the onion soup (very good), Caesar salad (very good as well) and the pork ribs (passable). Not cheap for Cebu, worth visiting maybe... More
