Exactly what we thought a Russian restaurant would be. Delicious soups and main courses. The waiter was really friendly and provided excellent advice on vodka and food.

This is an amazing experience, a very traditional imperial Russian restaurant with a stunning interior. I think it's important to start from the building. It used to be the heart of Russia's artistic and cultural life, the reason we came there is because it features heavily in the novel "Master and Margarita" by Mikhail Bulgakov. In addition to gorgeous surroundings,...

The building is poorly marked so make sure your driver knows where it is. Once inside it is impressive. The food was good but the service was slow. make sure you have tea, as you will never have tea served to you like Edgar does. Although gratuities are an option in Moscow our server had the boldness to ask for...

We were taken there while on a tour of Moscow and were very surprised and pleased. The beef strogenoff was wonderful and the service was great.
While everyone likes Pushkins, the Russians I work with prefer CDL. I have been once for work and once when the family was visiting ... Both great. While it is very expensive, even for Moscow, the service, the food, and the ambience make it worth the visit.
Very expensive restaurant but worth it. The decoration is very rich in Wood decoration giving the place a winter warm ambiance. The service is excellent And if you order tea you will have a full show for the serving with a very nice presentation and an excellent tea but don't be shoked by the coast of the tea :)
