I'm not sure about authentic Malay food that we were looking for, but we felt it was more Indian (unless Malay food is primarily of Indian descent contrary to what I searched online). The place was dirty, there was no organization in placing of orders and paying. The food all looked and tasted the same. Only one (amongst 20+) servers... More

We used to have our nasi kandar here in Pelita KL, but nowadays these place serve average nasi kandar in a very high price. You can get something similar or better other places. If you are dining, check on the price for the seafood first. You may think it is cheap because its a normal restaurant, but honestly it can... More

As an avid nasi kandar lover, I used patronise the pelita outlets in KL because you can get almost the same taste and quality around, at anytime of the day. However my last few visits have seen them being up or down. Flavors of the curries have been inconsistent, while made-to-order items are also suffering from this volatile taste differences.... More

looks more like the 19th century opium den than a restaurant of the 21st century. not suitable for my family (with little kids) to patronise.

Expensive but if you like Nasi Kandar, then go for it. If you order prawns and squids, be prepare to pay through your nose. The better nasi kandar are all in Penang, not in KL.

I'm not so much into Mamak food but there are variety of food you can choose from. The parking space may be an issue during peak hours.

Great variety of Indian styled food. Great value (cheap eats) but delicious, no ambiance. Try to find waiter to help you navigate the menu.

Sorry to be unoriginal but yes yes we agree it's the best place in town, proper Malaysian food served no nonsense style in a busy place (very simple) bang centre of town and omg cheap as chips. Don't forget to have the meter tea.
