Went to Songket after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor and confirming with the hotel concierge. Arrived there at 8:30 pm for dinner on a Saturday night and the huge restaurant was surprisingly empty both inside or outside. During the 2 hours we spent there, only 4 other tables were filled and the total number of guests that evening must have... More

Very delicious malay food, quite spicy. Attentive service. You can sit outside in the quiet backyard and enjoy the curries, seafood etc. I highly recommend to visit this restaurant! There is a dance show every day except sundays. Kind of hard to find behind Tony roma.... The Taxi driver normally know how to get there.

the food wasnt anything special, and its quite expensive. the culture dance though was entertaining. the staff was very helpful and nice as well. i would recommend it to others, just for the culture experience but not for the food.

It's a high class local Malay restaurant. Environment is relaxing, comfortable, and looks higher standard. Food appearance and quality is superb. Service very good. Waiters always wearing smiles on their face. Whenever we walk into to a Malay restaurant, usually waiters speak Malay to a local people like me but in Songket Restaurant, they speak English. Environment and the people... More

A bit disappointing really. I have one free night in KL to catch up with and old mate, and eat well. As per usual, I check the ratings on TA and see that not far from our hotel is a malay restaurant ranked 4 out of 916 in KL. Has to be great, doesnt it ?! Really failed to reach... More

Masak Lemak Udang Nanas is just magnificent. The curry gravy is good enough to be used as a main dish to be mixed with a plain rice. For those who wants to see the multicultural dance of Malaysia, be sure to be there before 8 so that you could enjoy the wonderful dinner and watch the live performance that will... More

Tip top ambience. Food was average down to earth food although fairly tasty and didnt reflect the somewhat high prices. There is a cultural show which was quite entertaining and probably what you are really paying for although they appear to be the restaurant staff and not professional dancers from outside although I could be wrong. In summary, overpriced Malay... More

The food was marvellous, especially the beef on the bone dish - the best we've tasted so far, western and asian food included. The dessert sampler plate was to die for - very flavoursome and yet not rich and heavy like a lot of dessert dishes. The pandan pudding was addictive! The staff was ever so attentive, without being intrusive... More

I planned for one of our ex-colleague farewell party held at here last month. It is by sheer luck I found this restaurant as I planned to go to Tony Roma's at the front row which is clearly visible if you drive along Jalan Yap Kwan Seng but lack of parking resulted in I circled the area before decided to...
