Downtown Jalan Sultan Ismail and you feel like you are in the country. Great lunch venue for oversees business traveller's to get them quickly into great Asian cuisine. I have had excellent feedback from my oversees guests.

Havent had a chance to revisit Tamarind Hill but 1st experience there some years back was good. Entering the place brings you into another world altogether.
I loved the decor and the menu was interesting, but the staff, the service was not there. Hmm typical in KL... More importantly, I got mosquitoes feasting on me. I was their dinner!
Nice place and ambiance, however the food was way too expensive, for example a Cat fish, it will cost you RM 48 - 58 +/-
We ate outside something of a treat among the bustle and high rises of KL. The entire place is decked out in artisan style dark wood and plenty of luxuriant foliage. Menu is broadly Thai based, with other regional elements. The food is good, not spectacular. It is pretty standard (but tasty) Thai - I did not see the high...

The restaurant is in lovely surroundings: very tropical, lots of plants, water features, relaxing music. Menu great, higher end fusion mixed with Thai flavours and the food tasted great. Waiters were friendly but we did get our main courses served before our starters...overall a really nice place to eat in the centre of KL.
This restaurant survives by style only, and surviving very well indeed. As their promotional materials says, it is away from the city, a very nice romantic surrounding, good service, and very good reviews.......but at the end, the food does not meet the hype. Could have been a lot better.
Located a bit out of the city, Tamarind Hills offers wonderful Indo-Chine cuisine in rustic environment. Choose to sit in the restaurant or in private gazebos. Prior booking is a recommended if you want to dine in the gazebo.
The restaurant is accessed up a long and difficult flight of steps. Not nice in the rain. The bar area is basically outside but under cover and rather dark. The wine selection was not cheap, and bottles were out of stock. Management seemed lacking. The food was generally interesting and several dishes very tasty. We dined in an interesting osef...
