The food is yummy, down home cookin'. The green chile sauce is where its at! All of us had chicken fried steak/chicken in one way or another with the sauce. Totally awesome. And for dessert the fried pecan pie...... die! So good. The owner also came to the table, super friendly! Loved this place!

Using green Hatch chili's in their gravy is just a start to what makes this place special. In fact, rather than trying to describe what makes the chicken-fried steak so special, just order the "sampler platter" that features their fabulous chicken-fried steak served 3 ways. And get a side order of their pan-fried corn and Hatch chilis. Phenomenal!

Very good and great home town atmosphere. People are very friendly and food was excellent. It is in a dry county so be sure to byob!

By the name, i thought this was a mexican food place, but far from it- if you even remotely like cracker barrel and 'home' style cooking- you will love this place. If you are looking for one of the best chicken fried steaks in Texas then you can stop your looking. Green Chile Willy's wins hands down! Be sure you have the Green Chile gravy - it is to die for. The fries are average but I don't recommend the mashed potatoes. They were too heavy and lumpy for my taste.... More

fried pecan pie is decadent - share it with other people, but you have to try it! The hamburgers were excellent.

Service was great, was a small building, not a lot of space. Chicken fried steak was real meat and homemade seasoning but not seasoned very well. Mashed potatoes were real potatoes and not out of a box, but not seasoned very well either. Again, the service was excellent, just wasn't too crazy about the food.

I have been to this place many times and I seem to get the chinken fry the most. With green ghile on it and home made veges this place is worth the side trip. sometimes crowded from 6:00 to 8:00 on a Saturday night.
