On a corner. Plastic tables, large open area,tonnes of waiters. Menu has fish mostly but also beef and chicken. It was my first time so i ordered the Tambaqui ribs. Comes with rice onion salad. I had 2 slices with rice and 3 beers for 95 riyals. Amazing taste!

Ended up at this wonderful place (one of the oldest in Manaus) after meeting the owner's daughter, who often helps out in the family business (she helps interpret for the non-Portuguese speaking guests :-)). One of Manaus' oldest fish restaurants, well known for preparing tasty local fish dishes. Stuck close to the heart of town, at a junction of busy roads, and no visual attractions nearby, you might be unhappy at the sitting accommodations. The food is good, the seating and location not so much.

This was recommended to us by our city tour guide and it was worth the cab ride. They don't speak much English there but they DO have menus in English. The waiter was SO helpful. Never in my life had a fish with ribs instead of bones, but it was great and tasty. You may order a grilled rib and you'll get a foot long rib! Noisy, hot and crowded at lunch but its worth the visit. (forgot the name of the fish)
