I visited an Italian restaurant in China, and got served a choice or Thai or German food. We ordered a few dishes - the Italian and Thai were OK, the German awful. It's in a good location for people watching, and the staff are friendly, but not really recommended.

I spend 6 months a year traveling and eating in restaurants. This is one of the few really memorable moderately priced meals I have had in the past year. As a family, we sampled the steaks, the antipasta, the pasta and dessert. Thease were good, but the Pizza, well we ordered a second one.

At our Friday night dinner we pretty much had the place to ourselves. The service was friendly, cool live music from a talented local and I was upsold on my first choice bottle of wine which blew the final bill but it was ok and i learnt my lesson. Possibly the worst immitation of Italian food we've had on our travels. Slow moving staff, a long wait, and food so un-italian and so untasty we couldn't get the courage to finish it.

We stayed at the Banyan Tree, so this was a comfortable stroll to find balanced food from a day full of Naxi cuisine. Ordered Chianti '05, stir fried broccoli (finished in minutes), lasagna, and four seasons pizza. All very tasty esp. The ribeye steak!
