My husband and I eat here just after our visit to the Condor Park (go there, you'll love it) and we were the only people there. It was super clean and the food was excellent. I got stuffed peppers and my husband got the chicken pot pie. The windows overlooking the backyard was great as we saw tons of humming... More

I lived in Otavalo, Ecuador for nine months working for a small non profit. I lived with a host family in an indigenous community right outside Otavalo. But when I wanted a change from the family meal of potatoes and rice, and when I wanted amazing service and an unforgettable meal, I always chose Cafe Pachamama. This place cannot be... More

The atmosphere was very nice, even on a rainy evening it was a very pleasant setting. The service was attentive. We had a tuna salad stuffed avocado, which was good. We also tried the Pizza Mixta ($9 for a half pie). I like that they offer 1/2 pizzas, but $9 is quite steep. The cheese and sauce on the pizza... More

During our stay at La Posada del Quinde recently, we ate several meals at Cafe Pachamama. Even though the service was a bit slow, the food was absolutely delicious. There were multiple choices of food for the complimentary breakfast. The soups were especially good. At our evening dinner, six energetic musicians arrived to entertain us with typical Ecuadorian songs. We... More

My husband and I had dinner at Cafe Pachamama this past Valentine's Day. I was concerned that we did not have a reservation and being the holiday, we would have a long wait.....no such thing! With the exception of one other couple, who were staying at the hotel, there was no one else in sight. I also had hoped that... More

First of all, thank you for having taken the time to leave a review of our restaurant. We are sorry to hear that your experience at Café Pachamama was not the festive sort you were hoping for on Valentine's Day. Unfortunately, we are generally slow mid-week here in the hotel and restaurant and only have musicians on Friday nights for... More

We were the only guests on a weekday for lunch here. I had a very good spinach pie, which was served generously with delcious green beans in a sauce, cucumber salad and french fries. A lot of food for not much money. They served the delicious Ecuador fresh juices as well as a burger and beer if you want. Nice... More

The food was good, especially for vegetarians, but it was not worth the loooong waiting. The waiters didn't seem even interested in pleasing the guests... And at the end they wanted to charge me an extra 10% for paying with credit card. I payed cash and promised never to return.

Thank you very much for your review of the restaurant. It makes us happy to know that you enjoyed the food, albeit a bit slow due to preparing everything to order. We are, however, sorry to hear that you were left with such an impression of our service, as we pride ourselves on offering excellent service to our patrons and... More

We had the good fortune to visit Otavalo 3 times since 2011. Each time we returned to La Posada del Quinde because of the great hospitality, wonderfully friendly and efficient staff, and incredibly helpful owner. Breakfast at Cafe Pachamama, included with the room, was a wonderful way to start the day, sitting in a sun-filled room, watching the hummingbirds in... More

We've had several lunches here with consistently good food. You sometimes wait a while as they must make everything without a microwave which is fine. There are lovely garden views and the food is worth the wait. It's a very clean place with fresh food deliciously prepared at great prices.

We stayed at La Posada del Quinde where this restaurant is located and found the food here to be excellent! My favorite was the enchilada casserole which is actually a vegetarian dish. It was so delicous I ordered it twice during our stay. Breakfasts were hardy and served with a wonderful array of local fruits and the coffee was tops... More
