Nice place on the hill. Great service. There is a lawn for croquet. I've never played croquet before so I enjoyed the game. We spent fantastic 2 hours in small England.

Lovely English tea house on the hill overlooking Sandakan - one of the few pleasant things to do in an otherwise dreary town. Food not so great - just stick to the English tea sets.

We visited here after returning from the Sukau Rainforest Lodge as part of an organised trip, Food was lovely and great views of the bay. Go you will enjoy, if you dont do as part of an organised trip they had the most fab victoria sandwich on display!!

After several days of noodles and rice, I was looking forward to a break with some English food. The website promises many vegetarian options -- this is not true. It even had a croquet lawn [!] which not too surprisingly looked as though no-one played it. Probably popular for weddings, but the pseudo colonial English atmosphere is way too contrived & the food is better at the NAC's roof top restaurant
