Salgado is a restaurant chain and shares the same menu of hundreds of other "hotels" along the busy streets of every Sri Lankan city. Our cab driver dropped my partner and me off here. It's a highlight of sorts on the main street in town. We ordered a sausage roll and some pastries. They were okay - nothing spectacular. But I suppose it's popular among tourists and locals nonetheless.

Just what you need for a lunch break, this place does a huge turnover, all the locals eat there. It's not airconditioned, just opened to the street. Great & fresh.
