Popular with the tourists and always quite lively. Even open on tuesdays when almost everywhere is closed! Enjoyed their house cocktail same prices as anywhere else and food seems pretty good too.

Tried to get a seat but was told to go upstairs. No one heeded us so we left. Really poor service.

The Geographer is situated on a busy corner of Jonker street. It is open sided allowing views of the street. It is decorated in shades of ochre and has great jazz on tap all day. I was traveling with someone who was very fussy indeed over food so this place was ideal. Established in the late 90"s evidently, short but decent menu, no MSG or use of preservatives and appears to have won various awards.
