Nicely priced and in a great location with some very good local food. Bit more interesting than the regular noodle places.

Found by sheer accident and what a treat!!! Good old fashioned hospitality and real rustic Nonya food. Bert, the owner even talked us through the menu and his recommendations were scrummy! I shall be dropping in again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our traditional Nyonya lunch at this little gem of a restaurant. The Grandma's Curry was my favourite and the steamed assam fish was also a delight. The highlight of the visit was to natter away to Bert the owner who is like a Baba Basil Fawlty though with a side splitting humour. A day we will not...

We ate here on the second night of our stay in Melaka and had a really enjoyable meal. During the afternoon we were walking past and simply picked up a menu - and immediately reserved an outside table on the basis of what we had read. We chose a range of dishes to share and found every one full of...

Order the egg omelette, kangkong and otah-otah.. We had other dishes too and they were okay.. Too many mozzies around and was a bit uncomfortable.. Shorthanded but service overall was not compromised.. Fantastic ambience.. Don't get turned away by the empty shop front.. Everyone is sitting at the back enjoying the river!
We put on mosqito repellent thanks to trip advisor tips and we had no problems with mosqitos although sitting right next to river!
The food was really tasty, authentic and done with a feeling. Chrimp with coconut sauce was heavenly, 15RM. Traditionally made chicken also good, RM 12. Then we also had ocra and aubergine, both RM9 the small portion....

I read about the good reviews here and I thought I try it out. We went there for dinner and sat by the riverside.
Location
Across from the river is the SFX Church and the view is pleasant as we watched boats passing by almost every 5 minutes. The only thing that bother us was that there were many mosquitos...

This family-run restaurant is by the Melaka river and is not easy to find if you are new to Melaka as it is not on the main Jonker Street. It is located along the street between Chung Wah Chop and San Shu Gong.
Was there for dinner and chose a table just by the river. Ambience was great with lotsa...

I could only try the following dishes i.e. Bee Hoon Siam (RM 5.50), Chicken Rendang (RM 11.50), Telor Goreng Masak Tempra (RM 4.50), Fresh Orange Jucie (RM 4.80), Ayam Masak O' (RM 9.50). Hopefully, I will try other dishes in my next Melaka trip.
My family of five ate here last night! The food was the best we have had in our 4 day stay in Malacca! Our waitress, A nan was lovely and very accommodating! We definitely recommend dining here at least once whilst in Malacca.
