We visited Zheng He Tea House on a hot day in September. The ambience is perfect for sitting down and having a leisurely cup of tea. Pak took us on a journey through China an expedition to find the tea that suits our palate and our health best. Pu-er is now my favorite new tea. Pak is very knowledgeable about... More

Please note that I gave the Zheng Ho Tea House a very poor write up and I must apologize as I was at the Tea House attached to the Museum not the "real Zheng Ho". After I received an email from Pak we found her and of course the difference was amazing. Even though renovations were in progress to add... More

My friend and I were just walking down the street on our way back to the hostel when a nice lady greeted us kindly and asked if we would like a cup of tea. We walked a few meters down a side street and came upon a large tea house where a gentleman was enjoying the evening air on the... More

We sat in the little courtyard at the back for out low key tea ceremony with the teenage daughter - Jian. Her explanations of the teas was very informative and they had a broad selection of high quality black, white, green and red teas. Her mother, Pak, cooks one or two chinese-malay dishes at lunch time - we had superb... More

This tea house is an absolute delight. We enjoyed the tea ceremony with the owner's charming daughter and had some delicious home cooking (vegetarian at our request). I would definitely recommend spending a couple of hours here on any trip to Melaka. Excellent!

I write this review to alert travelers that, should you visit Melaka and miss a visit to Zheng He Tea House, you are missing an experience and an individual that is sheer delight. The operation is run by Pak, a mother of three, who found her love of Chinese tea and has created, through her natural charm (and with the... More

If you are absolutely tired on a hot day of tramping around the difficult pedestrian unfriendly streets of Malacca, this is a lovely shady spot to enjoy some Chinese tea and relax. Our host was friendly and obliging. A good way to while away part of a languid afternoon.

Sniff... blow... slurp... breathe... thats the way to enjoy your tea.. In the heart of the old town of Melaka, you will find this amazing place, with the most friendly family who runs this.. Pak, the owner of this tea house, is one of the most amazing people you can meet on the face of this earth.. Although I bugged... More

As we were in an exploratory mood on a lazy Wednesday afternoon, my wife and I decided to go off the well-beaten track of Jonker Street and its packed eateries to give Zheng He Teahouse a try. We found it easily along this charming, quiet street away from the tourist crowds and relentless traffic. (NB: the location with the vines-lined... More

On my travels in 2011 I stayed in Melaka for twice as long as I had originally planned - due to the serene atmosphere and the peace this place offers. (I'll explain later) And it's not only the atmosphere of the physical environment - although that is impressive enough - but every member of the family that runs the tea... More
