We visited this restaurant twice during our stay but the laksa ran out on both occasions. My friend swears by the chendol - much better than jonker 88's. The mee siam was pretty good. The chicken ponteh although average, was better than the babi ponteh we tried at Nancy's. Service was slow and please find your own seats.

We went there after we arrived in Melaka, it was recommended by the hotel. We had the traditional Nonya Laksa and it was favorable, with good ingredients and reasonable presentation; although I had better Laksa from the breakfast in our hotel (Courtyard @ Heeren). They have all the basic Nonya dishes and in general they are pretty good. The decor... More

Visited Donald and Lily after a long 4 hours drive from Singapore. My family of 7 queued for about 15 minutes in the sun before getting our orders placed. We wanted to take away 5 dishes and a young waiter took our orders. After another agonising 15 minutes wait, our food was not ready (even customers who were behind us... More

Nyonya laksa & Chicken Ponteh rice not bad. But remember to order single portion because shared/ large portion is charged not reasonably. Serves different dishes on different days. Original Baba & Nyonya house environment.

We went for breakfast, recommended by a local. Ordered Siam Mihun, Nyonya Laksa & Nasi Lemak Ayam Rendang (Friday's special). The Siam Mihun - I did not like it.. a bit watery. Nyonya Laksa - if you like 'santan', maybe you will enjoy it because it was so milky. Nasi Lemak Ayam Rendang - the sambal was a bit spicy.... More

No doubt the prices of the food are not expensive, there are other better places to get your fix of nonya food.

We stayed at the Casa Del Rio which was right next to this restaurant so this was our first stop. We had the Mee Siam, taukwa rojak & chendol. The Mee Siam was not bad, but not the assam gravy drenched sort we were used to. Still, not bad. The rojak was also not what we were used to- no... More

This is a really small set up and the entrance is through some back door, going up a narrow lane. The restaurant is located just next to Casa Del Rio Hotel that we stayed. The popular dish is Pongteh Chicken but we didn't get to try it as they were sold out by the time we reached at 2pm. We... More
