Wide range of lunchtime soups/ noodles/ fried rice plus more substantial meals available. Excellent value with good food, in particular Nonya Laksa [noodle with fish balls, prawn and tofu in a spicy coconut base soup].

My wife is a Nyonya from Melaka and she knows what is authentic Nyonya food! We had 2guests
from Switzerland and we were recommended to try Kocik Restaurant. When we arrived in the
evening for dinner, the Manager did not tell us that the Restaurant will be closed within 30 minutes. We ordered a full package meal consisting of 6...

Just round the corner from Nancy's Kitchen. We ate there on Tuesday as Nancy's was closed. It was a nice surprise to find the food good and the staff accommodating.
we tried this nyonya restaurant on the last day during our vacation in Melaka. the interior was quite nice and cozy, it feels just like in your own house.
for the foods, we ordered 'Chicken Kapitan', 'Chuan Chuan Toufu', 'Ngo Hiang Rolls', 'Kocik Otak-otak', 'Kangkung Belachan'.

We arrived at 3pm for a late lunch and was pleasantly surpassed to find Kocik's open. It's a simple restaurant that serves home cooked meals at affordable prices.
We ordered the Otak Otak, Laksa, Chincalok Omelette, Udang Nanas Lemak and Bakwan Kepeting (soup).
The Udang Nana Lemak was thick, creamy and delicious. My non-Peranakan friend practically licked the soup while...

traditional nyonya food with reasonable price. Laksa is my favorite food in melacca. My sis loves the nyonya cakes, quite fresh and sweet.
We had our lunch here , we ordered the Assam fish , Chicken Ponteh , otak otak , four angles bean vegetables , chap chye , chincalok, sambal, brinjal , cendol original and durian cendol ..the food was awesome . The total bill for 4 person was rm 102. It was worth it
We had the prawn curry with pineapple, the chap chai and buah keluak (candlenut) chicken.
All three dishes were superb - the prawn curry was really tasty, the chap chai was fresh yet had a depth of flavour, the buah keluak was flavoursome and fragrant yet not overpowering.
Kocik is just down the street from the Peranakan museum, we found...
