I have been to Hoe Kee Chicken Rice balls just across the road before, comparing to them. This place serve the WORST! Chicken rice balls ever! It is COLD, HARD, MASHED! rice. Which didnt taste anything like chicken rice. They are charging RM5 per plate, which makes it NOT worth to eat here. I did saw some bad comments on... More

I have tasted better steamed chicken in KL, the chicken was on the hard side & portion was small. The rice balls were very filling. The highlight was the cendol, fragrant creamy & delicious.

This is not my first try of chicken rice ball. The chicken rice ball is basically "Mashed Rice" and roll into a small round ball. The white chicken & roasted chicken not up to my standard and char siew is not nice. Din manage to try their roasted pork as sold out. I ordered yam rice ball and very disappointed... More

The chicken rice ball are a bit too-hyped up, but overall, it was a good dish, with the rice being soft and fragrant, but the chicken could have been warmer. The accompanying chilli sauce was good. Could have come with a bit of broth, but then again I don't know if that comes with the Melakan version.

A must do in many travel guides, this was the worst meal that we had in melaka. Starchy and tasteless rice balls with under flavoured chicken - need i say more. Chicken rice in other parts of malaysia and singapore much better

The chicken rice balls are not as good as before. Try other food around town or the chicken rice stall by the river.

I was aware of that this Resaaurant had a good reputation, so we visited it twice to see if it was as good. To be honest the food was ok but not exceptional.

The rice balls are dry, hard and tasteless. And I think cheap, broken rice was used, as I could discern the stale taste. The steamed chicken was okay, though. The only good thing about eating here is the nice traditional decor.

As something that's been told as the #1 thing to eat in Malacca, I expected more va-va-voom from chicken rice ball. A rich taste or fragrant smell. But it was a just a good plain riceball with steamed (or roasted) chicken. It tastes good but again not wow. Maybe the simpleness is the key to attract people until they're willing... More
